The MR Electronics CAN Steering Panel (CSP) streamlines your steering wheel, replacing complex switches & wiring with a single, intelligent interface. Take command of your vehicle’s critical functions with 12 programmable buttons, designed for the demanding environment of motorsport.
Key Features
12 Programmable Buttons
Fully customizable to control functions like pit limiters, radio, traction control, and more. Comes with over 50 function labels to create your perfect layout, or print your own for those really bespoke installs.
LED Outputs
Each button has an RGB LED that can show 7 different colours. Useful for displaying status information.
CAN Communications
The CSP uses standard CANOpen communication, with a range of baud rates, making it plug & play compatible with many standard keypads (Grayhill / MoTeC & BlinkMarine / Link). The CAN protocol is highly configurable making it also compatible with any other devices that support CAN-bus communication.

Standard Model
The perfect foundation for any entry level club racer.
Backlit Model
Ideal for road / rally cars where night driving is a possibility. Includes all the features of the standard model plus:
Dimmable Backlight
Adds a dimmable white backlight for clear visibility in all lighting conditions. Brightness is easily controlled via a CAN message.
Shift Light Model
Display vehicle information right where you need it. Includes all the features of the backlit model plus:
8 RGB LED Shift Light
With three different modes, LEDs can be controlled:
- like the other button LEDs for status indicators, or
- as a 5 stage shift light with custom patterns, based on an external RPM signal present on the same CAN bus, or
- when used together with a MoTeC product, the LEDs can be set up to behave like a MoTeC SLM.
Encoder Model
For the ultimate in control and functionality. Includes all the features of the shift light model plus:
Two Rotary Encoders
Each with up to 10 configurable LED indicators, perfect for adjusting settings like traction control, ABS, wiper speed etc. LED colours, directions, and output bounds can all be configured to suit the application.
Alternate Adjustment
A second alternate encoder can be set up on the same physical encoder, adding two additional adjustments, switching between modes with a simple press.
Customisation
Additional Inputs
All models of the steering panel can be ordered with up to five additional inputs, including three 0-5V analogue inputs, and two low-side digital inputs. Whether it be shift paddles, electronic clutches, or a few more buttons, we can make it work for you.
